From creating games for entertainment, to education and paving the way for an unknown future in virtual reality, the Bachelor of IT (Games Programming) will allow you to combine your passion for code and games to develop a rewarding career as a game programmer.

Enter into roles as a game programmer, lead programmer, QA tester, technical artist, or find jobs as a web developer in user interface design and interactive design.

In 2015, IBISWorld reported an average game market growth of 8.2% with revenue generated at AU$381m. This growth can also be attributed to the expansion of games outside the entertainment industry, with games being utilised in education, military simulation exercises, and raising awareness of social issues.

To enter the industry, you’ll need skills in game engine programming, artificial intelligence and augmented reality. This game programming course will provide you with broad skills in game programming, with techniques and technologies that are the industry standard, taught by actual game developers.
