Australian Interactive Media Association (AIMIA)

aimiaThe Australian Interactive Media Association (AIMIA) is the peak industry body for for digital content, services and application in Australia. AIMIA's members represent the full spectrum of the digital media industry in Australia. AIT has been an active member of AIMIA for many years.

Game Developers' Association of Australia (GDAA)

gdaaThe Game Developers’ Association of Australia (GDAA) was formed in December 1999 to increase the profile of the Australian interactive game industry both domestically and internationally in order to promote the growth of the game industry in Australia; represent the interests of GDAA members; attract capital and publishers from offshore; retain and attract talent in our local industry; and promote a sense of community within the industry. AIT has been an active member of GDAA for many years including regular participation in the annual Game Connect Asia Pacific Conference.

Australian Computer Society (ACS)

acsThe Australian Computer Society (ACS) is the recognised association for Information and Communications Technology (ICT) professionals, attracting a large and active membership from all levels of the ICT industry. A member of the Australian Council of Professions, the ACS is the public voice of the ICT profession and the guardian of professional ethics and standards in the ICT industry, with a commitment to the wider community to ensure the beneficial use of ICT.  AIT is the sole education provider to be recognised and be part of its Professional Partner Program.

The company is the leading digital distributor in the Asia-Pacific region, delivering to hundreds of online stores including iTunes, Amazon, China Mobile, Vodafone, Maxis, Bigpond and Shazam. Valleyarm regularly uses AIT students for digital media content to support their music promotions through design competitions.

Rock Eisteddfod Challenge Australia

RECAPeter Sjoquist is the Executive Producer of Rock Eisteddfod Challenge® and J ROCK™ as well as all Global Rock Challenge® events across the world. Peter has been involved with the event for more than 23 years and has 40 years experience in live events, film and television production. AIT is fortunate to have this industry icon as a member of AIT's Academic Board helping to shape AIT's curriculum for industry relevance.

University of Sydney

High performing graduates of AIT's Diploma of Information Technology (Multimedia), Diploma of Interactive Digital Media or Advanced Diploma of Screen and Media (Game Development) may be granted entry into postgraduate studies leading to the University of Sydney's Master of Interactive Design and Electronic Arts.  Please refer to the Memorandum of Agreement between the University of Sydney (Faculty of Architecture, Design and Planning) and the Academy of Information Technology for more details.

Sydney College of the Arts Graduate School

Graduates of AIT's Bachelor of Interactive Media fulfill the academic entry requirements for: Master of Film and Digital Image (MFDI) and Master of Interactive and Digital Media (MIDM).  Please refer to the Memorandum of Agreement between the University of Sydney (Sydney College of the Arts) and the Academy of Information Technology for applicable conditions.
